I am 49 years young. I am mother to two beautiful daughters, ages 22 and 24. I am married to my best friend. My family is important to me and I love spending time with them. I have three brothers and three sisters that I love very much as well as my Mom who lives too far away now. <frown>
I love flowers, especially snapdragons, gladiolus and lavender. I love changing things, like redecorating or repainting a room and rearranging furniture. I love to go to thrift stores, flea markets and yard sales. I collect teapots, glass insulators, flamingos and walking sticks or canes. My new thing is buying old pieces of furniture and chandeliers and making them into something prettier. I would love to open up a shop with my best friend and sidekick, Anita. We love to rummage through other people's junk. We have sooooooo much fun together, she makes me laugh.
I love crafts and want to learn something new this year, like quilting. I tried to learn to crochet but I have rheumatoid arthritis and my hands hurt too bad. I have tons of stuff just waiting to be done and I hope to get started this year now that I have an empty nest, or sort of. I love old folks, cuddly babies, sappy old country songs from the 70's, horses and Hallmark movies. I am afraid of snakes, spiders, water over my head and dying too young.
Oh ... and did I mention that I love my kids more than anything in the world?
